I was introduced to the world of blogging by a dear friend and I have been lurking about a lot of blogs now for quite some time, leaving an occasional comment or two here and there. And have been thinking for quite some time now to start a blog of my own. So finally I am here, on the blogosphere, hopefully as a regular and active netizen.
I would have loved to say that I had some profoundly moving experience that was the trigger to start a blog of my own; but to be honest, that was not so. The real reason is that I had been sleeping till 4 in the evening yesterday and it's now 6 a.m. on the following day and I am still wide awake with not a clue as to how to while away time. This is a professional hazard. I return home at around 2 a.m. every night as alert as a wildcat about to pounce on its prey in the great Kalahari. As I usually go to bed not before 5 a.m. on any day, I guess the weekends lend me the liberty of going to sleep a little later than usual.
The benefits of having a blog of your own have slowly, but surely, dawned upon me. The main among them being the opportunity to come across like minded people and have fruitful discussions about matters of (not necessarily national security) interest. Besides, it may provide one with a chance of :- flaunting their control over language, shameless self promotion by bragging about one's achievements, and spreading thoughtless hate messages. There are numerous other sundry benefits too - more noble and chivalrous than the ones mentioned above. Which is where I aspire to be heading via this endeavour.
With that note, I will conclude this introductory post here with the hope that I have something more concrete to say / write / express pretty soon.
